Friday March 27th 2009. Launch -?? days.

Finally, the weekend is arriving. Things are getting very tense in the team. People are tired and irritable. I know that I am. And various people have passed through my office during the day to moan, grouse and work off some frustration. From Test Coordinator to Agony Aunt: fortunately I seem to be more successful at the latter than at the former. Now who is going to be my Agony Aunt???

It is a struggle to get much done, particularly on the Test Plan for our next and hopefully final set of tests. Then the Boss told me that the subject had been extensive discussed in the morning at the meeting of managers and that everything was going to change anyway. Throw away the edits to the document and give up!

In common with a number of others I decided to start the weekend early, but was too tired and demotivated to do more than sit and read. We had hoped to get a launch go-ahead today but the meeting of ESA top administration and Arianeespace ended with the announcement that no decision need be announced before the end of the month (Tuesday). Apparently the meeting will continue on Monday morning. Of course, we are wondering what they are still discussing: speculation is discouraged, but try to stop us doing it! We are told that there is nothing to worry about.
