My entire body aches. It’s a problem even to concentrate to read and moving from room to room at home is a real struggle. I have abandoned trying to read Max Hastings’ book “Armageddon” on the last nine months of the Second World War in Europe and have switched to Robert Heinlein’s “Space Cadet” with its larger print, smaller pages and somewhat less challenging intellectual content (excellent story though, even if it is a somewhat fantastic vision of the solar system, with Venus inhabited by intelligent amphibians, Mars home to an ancient civilisation and the asteroids the remains of an inhabited planet).
