Ignored my email all day. Ended up doing some more work on the book and having a lot of fun doing it, otherwise a quite relaxing day. The idea was to use different statistical methods to analyse the performances of players and see how they worked out. This is one of my two sample chapters and is turning into a very useful exercise. This chapter is several thousand words long now and growing.

In the end, I have decided to hop from Arthur C. Clarke’s vision of near-Earth space in the future to the series of novels by Paul Preuss cleverly weaving many of Arthur C. Clarke’s short stories into a single plot set about a century in the future. These were given the title of Venus Prime and I am currently on Venus Prime I, which starts slowly before becoming eminently readable.
